In my position as Senior Commissioning Technician on the nRAH site i am responsible for the day to day running of the on site commissioning team. My aim in this role is manage the distribution of the commissionable systems within the commissioning workforce to ensure site productivity is a maintained at as higher level as possible throughout the duration of the job. In order to achieve this my role will include the following tasks: • Read and understand commissioning plan, program and specification report. • Carry out early assessment on site of the commissioning program and begin to document issues encountered on the commissioning issues log. • Submit updated issues log to the relevant trades. • Analyse and review site labour requirements in accordance with the commissioning program. • Provide weekly feedback to the commissioning supervisor on site labour requirements. • Manage and maintain commissioning issues log to provide commissioning technicians with maximum productivity. • Attend weekly site commissioning meetings with the relevant contractors and site management. • Attend client commissioning meetings where required. • Update and maintain commissioning status program. • Follow up any outstanding items on the commissioning issues log to prevent further delays to the commissioning process. • Carry out commissioning tasks in accordance with project specification. • Provide training in air balancing and other commissioning tasks to junior technicians. • Identify training needs of commissioning technicians. • Provide technical support for the engineering department and back up support to the commissioning technicians . In my position as Commissioning Technician for AE Smith my role is to work directly under the Senior Commissioning Technician on site in completing the static, dynamic and integrated commissioning tasks required to achieve the clients performance objectives. The following are a brief description of the tasks required. • Read and understand commissioning plan, program and specification report. • Log and track commissioning system status on commissioning budget sheets. • Log and track hours status on commissioning budget sheet. • Log and report issues encountered preventing productive commissioning on site to the senior technician. • Assist the senior technician in closing out items preventing productive commissioning to occur. • Analyse and diagnose system performance issues. • Provide all information and support to the engineering department for any rectification requirements. • Maintain relationships with engineering and senior technicians until system rectifications are complete. • Carry out commissioning activities in accordance with commissioning specification. • Provide training in air balancing and other commissioning tasks to junior technicians. • Provide technical support for the engineering department and back up support to the commissioning technicians.

My position at Sutton Services began as a commissioning apprentice, working directly under the direction of an experienced commissioning engineer. Over time my experience grew along with my accreditation, achieving CSA Grades 1, 2, 3 & 4 over the 6 year period with the company.
