Mr Lloyd spent seventeen years as at EEA, where he was exposed to a wide range of design opportunities. His most notable projects at EEA include managing the design and construction of a new parking garage with a roof mounted solar array for UT Dallas; electrical design for new research clean-rooms for UT El Paso and Texas State; the construction and complete renovation of numerous buildings at UT El Paso and St Edwards University; the design of data centers for Camp Mabry, UT Dallas, Applied Materials, and other private entities; the restoration of a DOE research clean-room; and and the design of a state of the art bio-therapeutics facility for a consortium that included Texas A&M, DARPA, and private bio-pharma entities.
During his brief time in Florida, Mr. Lloyd designed relay based control systems and human machine interface panels to operate movable bridges on the inter-coastal waterways that line the Florida coast. At EC Driver, Mr. Lloyd gained valuable knowledge on relay based controls design, electrical distribution system short circuit and protective device analysis, and precision variable speed drive control of heavy loads.
