Responsible for: - Development definition of engineering standards within the Cabin & IFE section across all KQ fleet and third-party fleet with a view of optimizing airline and customer aircraft product cost whilst maintaining safety standards. - Carrying out analysis for airworthiness directives (ADs); manufacturer’s service bulletins (SBs), service information letters (SILs) - Analyze and find solutions to the problems related to components and systems and issue necessary technical documentation and co-ordinate with various in-house departments, vendors and manufactures as needed to define or implement solution. - In-service technical document review of design changes and modifications from a technical perspective and carrying out a cost benefit analysis of the changes to guarantee ROI from the changes. - Monitor amendments to aviation law resulting from rule making, other regulatory changes and directives from civil aviation regulators to ensure compliance to the same - Modification and configuration control, including repairs with a view of minimizing costs associated with maintenance and third-party aircraft component repairs. - Direct liaison with OEM engineering, including manufacturing and in-service support - Provide engineering support to the KQ Maintenance Repair Organization (MRO) team during line and base maintenance for both internal and third-party clients - Review Letter of Intents and proposals for lease of new aircraft and define new aircraft cabin & IFE specifications based on technical, commercial and flight operations requirements and with budget. - Cabin & IFE Technical focal in projects involving the sale and disposal of aircraft, cabin or IFE systems. - Developing Aircraft Interior Layout of Passenger Accommodations (LOPA). - Prepare engineering orders to provide procedures to be used in aircraft maintenance activities
