Responsible for carrier relationships for all LSI Lighting locations, customs compliance, freight payment, along with sourcing / purchasing Packaging-Liner, corrugated, slip-sheets, corners, skids, crates, and wood.
Logistics Manager: Analyze and coordinate the logistical functions of BlueStar’s products. Responsible for the entire life cycle of the product, including acquisition, distribution, and delivery. Negotiate contracts/tariffs with 3PL’s, Truckload, LTL, freight forwarders. Audit and reconcile freight charges for small package, ground, express, LTL, and Truckload shipments. Develop an understanding of customers’ needs, and take actions to ensure that such needs are met. Explain proposed solutions to customers, management, or other interested parties through written proposals and oral presentations. Maintain and develop positive business relationships with a customer’s key personnel involved in or directly relevant to a logistics activity. Stay informed of logistics technology advances, and apply appropriate technology in order to improve logistics processes.
