Hello... My name is Mike Keith. I have a BS and MS in Aerospace Engineering. I am a certified Textron Six Sigma Black Belt and have been working and leading Lean projects for the past 5 years. I have a passion for driving change and eliminating waste from both manufacturing and transactional processes. I help organization reduce setup time, cycle time, Work In Process Inventory, and get products to the customer faster. I am a devoted, loyal, conscientious team player that works well with everyone. PROBLEM SOLVER: Using principles of DMAIC and pulling from prior engineering skills able to quickly solve any type of problem from transactional business processes to manufacturing related issues. Established a Manufacturing Engineering Organization and transformed a single position production process into a multi-position line production process.
Created and maintained a synchronized (rate based) scheduling system at the assembly level, driving corresponding detailed part schedules for 20,000 items.
Worked with team to implement a comprehensive Business Process for the GV aircraft development program with six phases from Concept to Operations, encompassing the business functions of Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Production, Service and Test.
Worked with team to implement a Continuous Improvement Process and developed a general awareness educational program providing train-the-trainer workshops and ensuring delivery to approximately 4,600 employees.
Identified placement of a pitot static system on a new aircraft design after creating an aerodynamic computer model from loft drawings. Participated on flight and wind tunnel tests.
