About

I am a Toronto‑based professional with a background in hairstyling, beauty retail, and customer service, strengthened by a career shaped through resilience, adaptability, and a commitment to personal and professional growth. I earned my Hairdressing Diploma in 2015 and developed hands‑on experience across multiple salons in Toronto and the GTA, including an apprentice‑stylist role in Yorkville where I trained in a high‑performance, client‑focused environment. Alongside my salon work, I built strong retail and product‑knowledge expertise through roles at Sally Beauty, Sears Outlet, and Sirens, consistently contributing to positive customer experiences and team performance. My career path has included significant challenges — from the impacts of the pandemic on the beauty industry to personal loss and the realities of rebuilding stability while navigating ODSP. These experiences have shaped me into a professional who brings more than technical skill: I bring emotional intelligence, determination, and the ability to stay grounded and solution‑focused under pressure. I am known for my ability to connect with people, adapt quickly to changing environments, and maintain professionalism even in difficult circumstances. I approach every role with integrity, empathy, and a strong work ethic. Today, I am focused on opportunities where my strengths — resilience, communication, creativity, and client‑focused service — can contribute to a team that values authenticity, reliability, and long‑term potential. If you’re looking for someone who brings character, commitment, and a strong foundation of real‑world experience, I welcome the opportunity to connect.

Withing Moyo, many programs exist and are created under the Public Health Act. Focusing on Mental Health and Addictions Support ( Harm-Reduction) for the people in the Peel Region and Surrounding Areas! One Program I'm a part of is called, Peel Drug-User Advisory Panel (PDAP) for short. It's a program that was put together for People with Live-In experiences or has been affected by someone close to them..! come together as a Group a Few times a month and at community events, and we discuss boundaries that Individuals who are experiencing homelessness, Affected by Addiction and who are exposed to unsafe environments! Increasing the Risk of that person and any other Person(s) getting an infection, or abscess! Violence is more likely to occur and the most concerning of them all, an overdose! So as a group when we get together for our monthly discussions, we talk about, plan and Implement different ideas that can better the services already running, services already running but are dealing with issues, and creating new services that all add to a better more inclusive outcome for the people who are using these services! We also speak at events and regional meetings in the community to discuss areas in need of attention, improvement, and revising if necessary! Some of us also attend specific discussions and events relating to one area of concern! And the work we do does get addressed and as a member of PDAP, at the end of the day, I'm aiding in a better future for those impacted and hoping to aid in creating a more Stigma-less Society where if you are dealing with a crisis or addiction; maybe even feeling down in life or low at the moment, that you have and can access the support you need with our fear of judgment or inequality! where we as a community can understand the Areas in our society where instead of not wanting to be part of a change, we do want to be part of a better place where everyone is treated fairly without prejudice!

As of right now, I'm looking for employment within the Hairstyling and Fashion Industry. My hopes is to find a HomeSalon with an awesome staff, modern Salon environment, room for professional growth and good Work-Life balance. Adding a competitive Pay-Rate in todays economy and other Bonuses! I hope to find something along the South-Central part of Mississauga along with downtown Toronto While with this, I've been focussing on my mental health and making improvements to my health and lifestyle. The pandemic had a big impact on my career and myself! and though I have been able to find the odd jobs working in hair...I've had to learn to accept that we need to keep up with ourselves mentally and physically, so during my hunt to find new employment in the salon and or other, I'm doing my part for myself to stay mentally well!

  • Junior Hairstylist and Salon Associate at Salon Dew Inc
    May 2020 - Jul 2021 · 1 yr 3 mos

while I was working here, I preformed the role of both, Junior Stylist + Salon Associate. As a junior Stylist, I preformed the duties any Hairstylist would, but focussed on, woman's and mens haircutting w/ a finish. Hair Styling and preforming services that involved me participating in the planning, instructed on the application and the task to complete the colouring service for another stylist's Client I was working with. This would be considered a part of an associates duties in the salon, along with up keeping the cleanliness of the salon, managing phone appointments, costumer inquires, and assisting other stylist's with their clients needs. Finding Salon Dew was a pleasant place to work and learn from with their very talented staff. Leaving the salon was part of Covid-19 and the impact it had on the salons in the neighbourhood, and my client retention I had developed, leaving my position in a rough spot. Sadly my time was short with Salon Dew, but I hope our industry will come out of this pandemic with a strong strike...
