Best Commercial Project — KNX UK Awards 2025. The IET Savoy Place project in London: sole programmer on a small core team, replacing the venue's proprietary lighting system with an open KNX + Zennio infrastructure that delivers an estimated £30,000/year OPEX saving. That's the headline from a decade-plus of KNX programming on UK commercial projects. What I'm building alongside it now is different. Since 2024 I've shipped three production AI projects from scratch — a legal-RAG platform over UK employment-law case law (hybrid retrieval, citation-graph PageRank), an AI Employment Tribunal guidance product with a five-layer safety framework and multi-vendor LLM routing, and a Dubai property-compliance SaaS generating bilingual EN/AR legal notices. Stack: TypeScript, Python, Next.js, MongoDB, Supabase, multi-vendor LLM orchestration. The discipline that ships KNX projects on commercial deadlines is the same discipline production AI needs. Background: BSc Electrical & Electronic Engineering (Derby, 2:1). KNX Advanced certified 2016. Fully Qualified Electrician. Most recent salaried role — Danfoss Product Specialist, 2022–24 — managed 80+ electronic-control products generating ~£18M annual revenue, with OEM deals over £1M at Screwfix, British Gas and Carrier. Based in Dubai. Open to remote AI engineering roles, UK contract KNX work, and Dubai-based opportunities.
