I am a highly competent, motivated and enthusiastic individual. I have worked in the lifting industry for 30 years and have a vast knowledge of lifting procedures and all current legislation. I worked for many years as a Heavy Crane operator then progressed to Lifting Supervisor. I also have an appointed person qualification and am able to both produce and vet lifting plans / method statements to comply with LOLER etc. I have recently achieved an SMSTS & IOSH qualification. I am currently working as site manager for BMS Heavy Cranes A/S on Crowland Wind Farm in Australia. I have also worked in the Offshore Wind Industry as a Heavy Lift Supervisor. I have experience of Monopile installation, TP installation, TP removal & cleaning, Monopile cleaning, Grouting operations, Large Diameter Pile Top Drilling, Use of Menck Piling Hammer, Loading & unloading of Vessel in floating mode involving complex ballasting operations, Loading & unloading Monopiles using 2 X large Crawler Cranes in Port, TP fit out works in preassembly area, Wind Turbine installation, Wind Turbine repair works including major component changes. I have worked on various Jack Up Installation Vessels including the Friedrich Ernestine(OLC), Seaworker(A2SEA), Seajack(A2SEA), Neptune(Geosea), Goliath(Geosea) & Thor (Geosea) Whilst on board these vessels I supervised all Lifting Operations during loading & installation works. I have also undertaken the role of Offshore Construction Manager on board the Friedrich Ernestine. I have a good proactive attitude to Health & Safety having worked on many major Oil, Gas, Nuclear and Construction projects throughout the UK. I currently hold a CPCS Blue Card with the following categories; Appointed Person, Lifting Supervisor, Slinger/Signaller, Crawler Crane, Mobile Crane, Compact Crane, Telescopic Handler, MEWP and Industrial Forklift Truck.
Stronelairg Wind Farm opened again at the end of March. Hopefully be here until Christmas
