I’m a Michigan Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) specializing in EV system design and validation, electrical and control engineering, energy infrastructure certification, and forensic technical analysis. Through my firm, Armstead Technologies, Inc., I help companies bridge innovation and compliance — delivering engineered systems that perform reliably and meet regulatory standards. My work spans from vehicle control units (VCUs) and battery management systems (BMS) to industrial automation and EV charging infrastructure. I integrate hands-on technical design experience with professional engineering authority — ensuring that every system I certify is technically precise, legally defensible, and ready for the real world. ⚙️ Core Expertise EV System Design & Validation: Control architecture, BMS/VCU integration, CAN/LIN communication, and RTOS-based frameworks. Electrical & Control Engineering: Automation, power distribution, and embedded system development. Energy & Infrastructure Certification: P.E.-stamped documentation for solar, battery, and EV charging systems (NEC, UL, NFPA 70E). Forensic & Expert Analysis: Technical failure reconstruction and clear, concise engineering reporting for legal and insurance review. Based in Detroit, Michigan, I work with OEMs, startups, and integrators to deliver licensed engineering solutions that combine innovation, safety, and accountability. If you’re developing EV, automation, or energy systems that need certified validation or P.E. oversight, let’s connect. 📧 [email protected] 🔗 linkedin.com/in/michael-c-armstead-p-e-b627308/
