I am currently pursuing an Associates Degree in Cybersecurity at Washtenaw Community College through the Exceptional Learning Academy. I then would like to pursue a Bachelors Degree at Eastern Michigan University. With the skills I learn through my education I hope to contribute to a company's IT security efficiency and infrastructure.
WRAP is a 3-hour high school course for students with disabilities. One aspect of the course was a paid position at in-town businesses. I worked at the County Lane Flower Shop and Family Video. With these jobs I learned skills in the areas of inventory management, janitorial duties, box manufacturing, water distribution, and working with a team.
A multi-faceted program for students with autism that included a course in Flash Animation taught by Mott Community College instructors. Another part was a paid work experience program where students worked for 9 different companies for 2 days each. I worked at Refrigeration Research, Big Frog Custom T-Shirts, the Marketeer, Livingston County EMS, GKI Chocolates, Lowry Solutions, University of Michigan Brighton Specialty Care, and Lake Trust Credit Union. The most notable placement was the Pinckney Cyber Training Institute in Pinckney, Michigan.
