I have a Master of Environmental Law from Vermont Law School and a strong background in business development, network building, client relations, stakeholder engagement and government affairs. As the Director of Government and External Affairs - East Coast at Simply Blue Group, I am responsible for developing and executing strategic plans to advance the company's offshore wind goals in the east coast of the US market. I work closely with federal, state, and local stakeholders, regulators, and policymakers to create favorable conditions and opportunities for the company's growth and success. I also leverage my extensive knowledge and experience in the renewable energy industry to educate and advocate for the benefits of clean energy for the environment, the economy, and the society.
Conducted market research, regulatory analysis, and stakeholder engagement regarding offshore wind, marine energy, and Tribal Nation interests across the US. Oversaw investigations and engagement into regulatory, policy, and funding measures related to commercialization strategies for cutting-edge nascent ocean energy systems. Served as NREL Principal Investigator on multi-lab Department of Energy project supporting communities’ readiness for deployment of marine energy installations.
Co-founder of innovative renewable energy development firm dedicated to making renewable energy affordable through the use of creative financing mechanisms. Deployed the first solar Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for New Hampshire. Executed and developed multi-megawatt, $10MM portfolio within New England region with municipal and commercial clients utilizing PPA’s to deploy solar PV, solar heated air, energy efficiency, and combined heat and power projects. Oversaw day-to-day operations, business development, client relations, financial planning, lending and investment relations, project execution, and state/regional policy and legislative engagement.
Served as East Coast market lead and point of contact for joint venture between Simply Blue Group and TotalEnergies known as TotalEnergies SBE US. Was responsible for leading Gulf of Maine floating offshore wind market engagement on behalf of the JV carrying out broad stakeholder and government affairs outreach.
Supported the project's economic investment strategies and workforce engagement and development efforts on behalf of Attentive Energy, an offshore wind project company of TotalEnergies with rights to an offshore wind lease off the coast of New York and New Jersey. Managed project investment strategies for economic and workforce development efforts among and between a broad and diverse set of stakeholder and community counterparties. Was responsible for designing multi-million dollar economic development package and partner alignment in successful bid response to New York State OREC III procurement solicitation, as well as primary lead for workforce development efforts and engagement. Oversaw political mapping, broad innovation opportunities, workforce development, union labor engagement, and community/economic benefits planning. Prior to being hired full-time, I provided consulting services concerning the offshore wind market.
Engaged the offshore wind industry and developed business opportunities for existing and new New Hampshire based businesses. I focused on the development of a New Hampshire business supply chain registry, initiated port development initiatives, workforce development pathways, and provided communities and officials with factual and educational information regarding the opportunities of offshore wind in the Gulf of Maine. Served as the Vice Chair for the NH Commission to Study Offshore Wind and Port Development.
