• Joint/Navy Exercise Event Lead within the Maritime Operations Center Exercise Support Team (MOC-EST). Leads and directs core planning team efforts within Fleet training exercises, providing operational level of war (OLW) exercise design, simulation and command, control, communications, computers, and intelligence (C4I) architecture, and scenario development. • Provides exercise control subject matter expertise across the Joint Exercise Lifecycle (JELC) to include designated planning conferences, engineering functional and operational tests, dress rehearsals and event execution. Ensures Navy OL-TL training solutions and tailored Live, Virtual, Constructive (LVC) solutions supporting integration of OL-TL concepts are integrated and prioritized into the Joint and Combined exercise environment to further Navy warfighter training • Integrates Fleet Commander training objectives with Combatant Command (CCDR) and Joint exercise training objectives and requirements. Serves as the core exercise leadership resource for Fleet staffs, providing direct support towards the planning and execution of OLW certification and training requirements. • Works directly with OLW training stakeholders to develop tailored training objectives, develop and prioritize Fleet exercise requirements, and develop MOC-EST modeling and simulation and exercise execution plans. Plans and coordinates MOC-EST efforts in support of Joint and Navy-only major training exercises and certification events.
• Provided instruction, mentoring, and evaluation for 300+ individuals in the management of U.S. Navy operations in the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility. Directed a team of five faculty members and up to 20 consulting team members to communicate with Fleet personnel to provide tailored training, program expertise, and share service-wide best practices. Forecast and administer $80K annual travel budget • Project management consultant to the U.S. FIFTH Fleet directing five consulting projects to 100% successful, on-time delivery of mission-critical solutions that improved operational efficiency and effectiveness of military operations. Present reports and briefings to executives, including President, U.S. Naval War College and other key sponsors • Deliver training on Navy’s Agile-like project management / planning process methodologies to translate strategic objectives into executable plans
• Led and coordinated a 45-person planning staff and 24/7 operations center, managing current and future operations for a combined Navy and Marine corps Task Force conducting combat operations in Iraq, Syria and throughout the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility • Directed the planning and execution of multi-national maritime security operations to safeguard the free flow of commerce through strategic chokepoints. Helped manage a coalition of British, French and U.S. naval forces and their interaction with maritime industry partners in order to provide secure sea lanes in a high-threat environment • Conducted theater-level future force-flow planning and supported national-level decision making regarding world-wide force level management and deployment objectives
