As Chief Executive Officer of NC Planning, I strive to serve my team through strategic leadership and operational oversight necessary to drive our organization forward. This role is focused on helping to shape the firm's vision, maintaining our reputation for excellence, and ensuring sustained growth in a competitive legal landscape. Through it all, I have the honor and privilege of working alongside the lead attorneys of the firm’s practice areas to ensure the sound management of day-to-day operations of the legal department, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of legal services, and maintaining high standards of client satisfaction and ethical compliance. As a business and corporate attorney with over twenty (20) years of experience, I focus my practice on the representation of individual and business clients and lending institutions in the areas of corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, business planning, commercial lending and contracts. I am licensed to practice in North Carolina and Pennsylvania. I regularly represent business clients in a variety of matters including corporate and other entity formation, company start-ups, mergers, business acquisitions and sales, joint ventures, employee incentive/deferred compensation planning, commercial lending and loan closings, resolution of shareholder disputes and corporate restructuring. In the M&A space, I have successfully served as counsel to clients in a variety of industries including, without limitation, professional practice owners (dentists, doctors, lawyers, etc.), construction, industrial/manufacturing, franchises and medical equipment, effectively and efficiently closing deals ranging in size from $50K-$10MM+ As a natural extension of my business transactional work, I also effectively serve as outside general counsel to corporate clients and professional practices, assisting in a breadth of matters ranging from contract review, revision and negotiation to complex corporate planning and dispute resolution. In my spare time, you may find me traveling and spending as much time as possible with my family, self learning accoustic and electric guitar or attending a concert, typically for the Dave Matthews Band or Goose.

As an attorney with NC Planning, I am part of a unique legal team that offers a comprehensive legal planning approach that strives to make sure that our clients, their families and their businesses are always taken care of. My practice has traditionally focused on providing outstanding legal services to business and individual clients on matters including: serving as outside counsel to corporate clients, structuring and executing complex business transactions and advising individuals and families on their estate planning needs. Like any industry, the economic landscape of the legal services sector is constantly in flux. However, I believe what remains the core of a successful law practice is exceptional service and building strong relationships between clients and their legal counsel. NC Planning provides an innovative platform focused on the client-attorney relationship, offering clients a simple, successful and value minded approach to their on-going legal planning needs. Outside the practice of law, whether we're at the playground, at soccer practice or on a road trip to the beach, I love spending time with my wife Erica and our two children Caden and Zella. I am an avid movie, music and pop culture fan as well as an acoustic guitar playing enthusiast. I enjoy challenging strategy games including chess and texas hold 'em poker.
