About

As an award-winning impact communications strategist and certified coach and facilitator, I founded Big Mountain Impact to help organizations and leaders define not just what they stand for, but how they live out their purpose. With two decades of public and private sector experience and an MBA from Columbia Business School, I partner with organizations to foster intentional leaders, cohesive teams and authentic communication that builds trust, credibility and lasting impact. Throughout my career working to address critical issues—from climate and health to equity and opportunity—I've crafted meaningful communication strategies, facilitated transformative retreats and uplifted teams and leaders through professional coaching, trainings and speaking engagements. As an active member of the Fractional Sustainability Leaders Collective, I bring executive-level expertise to organizations on a part-time basis, offering strategic communications leadership without the need for a full-time hire. Previously at Golin, I served as the go-to purpose expert for industry leaders like LEGO, Dow, PepsiCo, Sierra Nevada and Wells Fargo. Prior to that, after working in the government and renewable energy sectors, I directed sustainability communications for Walmart and spearheaded marketing communication strategies for Environmental Defense Fund’s Clean Energy and Global Clean Air programs for nearly a decade. Beyond my core focus on team and leadership development, adaptive facilitation and strategic communications, I have comprehensive experience with stakeholder engagement, team and campaign management, thought leadership, public affairs, content marketing, public speaking and expertise in navigating the complexities of ESG certifications and impact reporting. Regarding media relations, I have a proven track record of placement in a wide variety of media, such as the NYT, WSJ, Guardian, WashPo, FastCo, NPR, TIME, Vox, USA Today, Axios and Grist. In addition to an MBA focused on Social Enterprise, I've earned a BA in Psychology from Southern Methodist University, ICF-accredited Certified Professional Coach certification from the Center for Coaching Certification, ICF-accredited High Performance Team Coaching certification from Erickson Coaching International and Facilitator Masterclass certificate from the Facilitator School. I received the Austin Under 40 Award for Energy, Mobility & Transportation in 2019 and have served on the Texas League of Conservation Voters, SXSW Eco Advisory and Explore Austin Boards as well as the Blue Horizons Project Community Council.
