About

Hi, if you're new here, welcome! 🩷 I'm Mia, a digital marketing professional with a passion for content creation, branding, and building engaging online communities. I enjoy both leading & collaborating with others, managing creative projects, and bringing ideas to life through digital marketing. Currently, I work as a Marketing Executive at Badgemaster, where I lead day-to-day marketing activity across both Badgemaster and Corporate Insignia. My role covers everything from social media coordination and email campaigns to content creation, marketing analysis & database management. I originally joined the company in an e-commerce role before progressing into marketing administration, where I gained experience working alongside an external marketing agency on projects ranging from rebrands and campaigns to social media strategy and content creation. Taking the lead on bringing marketing fully in-house has been an exciting step in my career and has allowed me to develop both creatively and strategically. Alongside work, I'm currently studying Business & Marketing at Manchester Metropolitan University. University has given me the opportunity to grow not only professionally, but personally too, through new experiences, challenges, and opportunities outside the classroom. One of those opportunities has been joining the Manchester & Salford Universities' OTC, where I’m currently training as an Officer Cadet. Volunteering is also a huge part of my life, and where most of my LinkedIn content is focused. I'm an adult volunteer with Nottinghamshire Army Cadet Force, where I support my local detachment while also helping with social media, outreach and PR aspects for the wider unit. Two of the highlights each year for me in the ACF are Annual Camp, where we get the chance to fully immerse cadets in training and development across the week, and the Royal Artillery Cadet Cup, where I coordinate training and prepare the teams attending the competition each year. With university keeping me busy, these have become the areas I focus most of my time and energy into within the ACF. Overall, I'm someone who loves creativity, new challenges, and constantly finding ways to grow and improve, both professionally and personally. Join me for the journey!

    • Cadet Regimental Sergeant Major
      Jul 2023 - Dec 2023 · 6 mos

The cadet RSM, or WO1, is the 6th and highest rank you can achieve within the ACF, meaning I was responsible for the welfare, training, progression and enjoyment of all the young cadets, county wide, within Nottinghamshire ACF, working alongside adult volunteers who supported me in this role. I achieved this through my hard work, dedication, and passion towards the organisation and, more specifically, the younger cadets in it, prioritising the 'big-sister-role-model' role for those who needed that extra push. I loved every minuet of my time as a cadet RSM, and I was so honoured to be trusted with the responsibility, reputation and pressure that comes with the role, but by far the most enjoyable part was watching other young cadets grow and gain confidence the same way I did, and supporting them to help them create their own cadet story. If I could ask for one thing from the ACF, it's that all of my cadets turn out 100 times better than I did, again and again, and I would put them all on my shoulders to help them get there.
