Passionate technology leader that found and secured their purpose! Giving back to urban and BIPOC communities providing #STEAM education to students seeking better options and opportunities in education and careers. Just one human being doing what he can do with a group of incredible passionate volunteers! Founded the Minnesota STEM Partnership, PowerUP IT, and local NSBE Jr. Twin Cities chapter to address the distinct gap in equity and access to advancing and emerging technologies like Robotics, AI, drones, & more! Experienced Information Technology professional with extensive background in infrastructure leadership, engineering & support. Previous technology leadership experience in Home Office systems, field and web application development. Protector of financial services industry business with a strong experience in business continuation and disaster recovery. Most recently served Prudential Individual Life Insurance in many architectural capacities including Open Source process management, Collaboration, architectural modeling tools, support architectural analysis for suite of Microsoft Office desktop, Office 365, SharePoint development and workflow as well as other architectural support initiatives. Putting post-doctoral leadership to work! My time is spent volunteering to prepare future leaders in a world in which they will be responsible for. Building an AI/Machine Learning ready youth base to "feed" the future workforce by developing strong IT professional & eBusiness professionals. My career goal is to leverage deep experience to create a high-performing team dedicated to creating excellence delivering business IT needs. I have significant ops experience leading a 24x7 multi-site distributed matrix infrastructure platform engineering, architecture and support organization. Also experienced in data center ops, financial management, vendor & contract management, technical leadership team direction and consulting. Broad experience with multiple leadership roles directing PMO, architecture, design and support, collaboration tools, imaging & workflow systems, email systems, corporate accounting and HR infrastructure, and more. I have a passion for technology, leadership, and corporate stewardship and community service.       Responsible for supporting chapters, presidents and officers to build strong leaders, increase membership, develop membership, increase donations with corporate sponsors of Fortune 500 and small businesses in their region (across the enterprise) as well as programs to support educating youth through our BDPA Education Technology Foundation (BETF.org). Since taking this role we've watched our region take #1 & #2 largest chapters, grown entire region by greater than 25% in membership, increased our education donations from corporate America, reinstituted 2 legacy chapters, and implemented a pilot for an online school (http://BDPA.Academy) that will train high school students across BDPA's chapters thus increasing new & future software engineers, application developers & technologists in numbers exponentially from 2015 again in 2016 by at least a factor of ten...all as volunteers and free to every single student we service through 46 member chapters. Rollout Spring 2015 expected to go BDPA nationwide later in the year.
