Worked on revenue team that was responsible for supporting JetBlue's web presence as well as its reservation system that drove 90% of JetBlue's revenue. I worked closely with business analysts in marketing as well as reservations to develop enhancements for the website and to fix bugs. I was involved in developing revamped TrueBlue website, ASP.NET based web site for JetBlue's loyalty program as well as various web services that were being developed to support various enterprise initiatives. This included customer notifications using SMS messaging and using web services to provide support for online TrueBlue award redemption. I also had limited involvement in various Microsoft Biztalk efforts that JetBlue was implementing to get different third party products to talk to each other.
- After Tradescape was acquired by E*Trade, I joined newly formed middle office technology team that was responsible for developing software solutions that supported E*TRADE Cleaing operations - Played key role in assisting with E*TRADE conversion of various middle office applications from BETA platform to ADP Clearing platform - Developed a number of reports that were no longer available on ADP platform but were needed by trading operations such as margin activity and fraud monitoring. Reports were developed using combination of Perl and C# and required working with business users to identify business requirements as well as DBA's to identify best data source to use for the reports - E*TRADE was one of the largest stock option's plan administrators. Their product, OptionsLink, was supported by Access based application that was used to insure that all business rules were followed when employees would exercise their options. Since product was single threaded and relied on Access, it was very slow and it would take hours to validate all the trades. Since all trades had to be validated within short time frame, such slow speed was unacceptable and it was decided to move the application to .NET. I had rewritten the application in C# turning it into true n-tier app with Windows Forms front end, business tier that contained business rules and SQL Server for storing historical data and reporting. Due to the multithreaded nature of the application, it achieved signifcant performance improvement over the old application and could validate all transactions within short period of time even on the heaviest trading days. - Developed ad-hoc reports using both Perl and C# based on the needs of various middle office business users
- Developed reporting portal that supported both in house day traders who were using Tradescape's trading platform as well as customers who were using MartketXT ECN. Website was originally developed using SQL Server, VB6 and heavy Javascript on the frontend. It was later migrated to .NET on the backend and was one of the earliest full fledged AJAX implementations. - Took ownership of Tradescape's trading operations applications. These applications were mostly written in VB6 and as a result were shunned by developers who wanted to deal with newer technology. I had redesigned UI to make them more user friendly and integrated a number of separate applications into one cohesive application thus making tradings ops more efficient - Supported Tradescape Risk Management monitoring software. This was real time tool that allowed trading ops to instantly see how traders were doing who were trading using company's capital. It used PowerTCP control to support multiple connections and was extremely efficient even though it was developed in VB6. At its peak usage, this application allowed trading ops to get instant overview of thousands of positions held by hundreds of traders.
-Developed and maintained EIA's website -Helped with transitioning in-house service requests application from Foxpro to client/server implementation built using VB6 and MS SQL Server 7.0 -Managed two interns who were brought in to help with the transition effort
