I was employed as a Close Support Company second in command. The Company consists of 100 tradesmen who are responsible for engineering maintenance and repair of military vehicles and electronic equipment across Northern England and Scotland. Responsible for the coordination of all training and production activity within a 2nd Line Equipment Support Organisation. As a technical leader, I build teams and ensure they are fully equipped, trained and motivated to carry out any task required by the military. Previous to being employed as a Company second in command, I was the Battalion Technical Officer. During this time I acted as the technical lead for 3 major rehabilitation projects in UK, Germany and Canada. Each project was planned and executed utilising Lean principles, resulting in the maintenance and repair of a large fleet of armoured vehicles, instruments and electronic equipments. Also I was responsible for the overall engineering assurance for the organisation. This included the continuous development of the unit's equipment care directive and engineering management system. Both these systems are subject to external inspections and have always been graded satisfactory.
