My professional lifestyle is evolving into inclusions for all. I am learning more about the effects of trauma in the workplace and willing to help provide a service to support the change! As a peer providers I volunteer while experiencing poverty in my communities being on different public benefit programs over the years. Financial health was not apart of wellness back then. It didn't make my top 30 years as a focus. I have often volunteered to supplement my lack of formal education and/or lack of well being. Now, I have more wellness tools for many emotional/physical and environmental spaces. Not just the workplace. Fortunately, I found out some of my trauma triggers and started to create and update my wellness routines. Working with others with disabilities, known or unknown can make the workplace awkward. The biggest difference is the Leadership and supervisors in this new blending workforce ....it's like cats and dogs from my experience. Sometimes we can get along when we are younger. We can have cooperation and collaborations. Something changes, stress, family members, economics, stigma and so many other dynamics could limit our perceptions. I have faith in our humanity. One of my intentions is to bring more peaceful economic awareness to wellness/well being in welcoming this peer workforce movement. This has been a process for me. We can have a great job with meaningful roles; prosperity and model wellness. This is my vision and intention - Please join me in imagining public healthcare providers in all areas of behavior health systems... * Be present and available * Be willing to provide your time * Be welcoming to all people * Learn to humble - culturally * Say "Yes" whenever possible * Imagine seeing folks recover * Help folks find their own process * Guide instead of leading. * Learn to listening mindfully * Allow others to make a request * DO NO HARM Will you join me? Leave a comment or email me~ Blessings, Gitane
