Hi, I'm Mert — a Linux and DevOps enthusiast passionate about building scalable, reliable infrastructure. I specialize in Cloud (AWS and GCP), CI/CD, and container orchestration with tools like Docker and Terraform. I enjoy automating everything I can, from deployments to monitoring, and continuously improving development workflows. My background in Python and C++ gives me a strong software foundation to bridge development and operations seamlessly.
In my current role, I have full authority and responsibility over DevOps practices and infrastructure. My work covers: * Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform for consistent and scalable infrastructure provisioning * Containerization and orchestration using Docker (and planning Kubernetes adoption) * Cloud architecture design, performance tuning, and cost optimization on AWS (ECS microservices, RDS, ALB/NLB, S3, IAM) * CI/CD pipeline automation with version control integration and deployment strategies (blue/green, canary) * Code quality, compliance, and security enforcement through automated scans and best practices (static analysis, secrets management, vulnerability detection) * Monitoring, logging, and observability with Grafana, Prometheus, and centralized logging solutions * Developer enablement and training on DevOps principles, workflows, and toolchains * System reliability and performance optimization with proactive scaling, disaster recovery, and backup strategies * Collaboration and workflow automation using GitOps, branching strategies, and workflow standardization * Cost optimization and FinOps practices for efficient cloud resource usage * Incident response and on-call readiness with alerting, runbooks, and root cause analysis I am planning to expand our stack with Kubernetes for orchestration and scaling, along with exploring GitOps workflows, service mesh architectures, advanced monitoring/alerting, secrets management, cost optimization, and chaos engineering to further strengthen reliability, scalability, and developer productivity.
It is a startup where we develop projects focused on artificial intelligence. During this time, I have the opportunity to enhance my skills in web development and DevOps.
I worked as a DevOps Associate Specialist at ABC Logistics. This is where I gained my most extensive industry experience. I have developed expertise in system and network architectures. I design project workflows on Git, manage CI/CD processes, and provide technical support to the developer team.
It was a student club at university focused on computer-related topics. During my time in the club, I participated in training sessions, particularly on Linux and Git.
