About

I'm a software engineer with 7+ years of experience, mostly focused on designing, building, and scaling backend systems. For the past 5 years, I’ve been working heavily with cloud-native technologies, Kubernetes, GitOps, microservices, and everything around building modern, scalable infrastructure. At Datagrate, I work across many roles — from core development of our in-house iPaaS platform Jetic, to architecture planning, to consulting with our enterprise customers (including Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 companies, as well as top firms in Germany and the Netherlands). I’m also involved in pre-sales, building POCs, leading demos, and giving technical training sessions. I contribute to the Apache Camel and Camel K projects and enjoy being part of the open-source community. Outside of pure engineering, I collaborate closely with design, content, and leadership to help shape our product, marketing, and overall strategy.

      - Built a working MVP of an AI-powered integration system from scratch, allowing internal engineers and founders to experiment with agent-driven workflows and LLM-based automation built on top of the existing iPaaS product offering "jetic.io". - Ran in-house sessions with non-technical founders and engineers to bring them up to speed with AI agents, tool usage, MCP-style protocols, and current ecosystem tooling. - Built early prototypes around RAG systems, vector databases, and agent-style workflows to evaluate practical use cases.

    - Implemented Kubernetes security and high availability best practices across the platform. - Migrated legacy Talend-based synchronization routes to Camel-K, reducing sync times from ~10 seconds to 400ms (96% faster) and cutting build times from ~75 minutes to 1.5 minutes (98% faster), significantly improving developer experience and system performance. - Re-architected and enforced Kubernetes network policies and ingress configurations to enhance security and traffic management. - Contributed to the design and implementation of data models and microservice architectures, supporting scalable and maintainable system growth. - Set up monitoring and observability for Camel-K sync routes by customizing the Prometheus Operator to fit Bendesk’s infrastructure needs. - Integrated key partners and benefit providers (e.g., Urban Sports Club, Personio, BambooHR, Givve, Billyard, Lunchit/Spendit) following Enterprise Integration Patterns (EIPs) to ensure robust and flexible connectivity.

DeskHero - Developed backend features for a shared office space application using Java and Spring Boot. - Designed and implemented a CI/CD pipeline with Jenkins on a Kubernetes cluster. - Optimized Docker images, reducing size from ~400MB to ~110MB (73% decrease) and cut deployment time by 70% (from ~10 min to ~3 min). - Configured Nginx as a reverse proxy, leveraging its load balancing and caching capabilities. LiquiTool - Took ownership of backend development for a liquidity tracking and planning application. - Increased test coverage from ~20% to 85% by writing comprehensive unit and integration tests using JUnit and Mockito. - Built a fully automated Java code generation tool using JavaPoet, enabling non-developers to convert JSON/YAML financial data into executable unit tests—reducing dependency between finance teams and developers. Deskcenter - Collaborated in a 3-engineer team to develop a new web layer using Node.js and React. - Integrated the frontend with Deskcenter’s existing Microsoft Active Directory discovery service. Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research - Contributed to backend infrastructure development for a modular, web-based biodiversity platform as part of a 5-engineer team.
