Serving as the Undergraduate Student Representative for the School of Biomedical Sciences. Gathering and consolidating feedback from undergraduate students on teaching, learning, and the wider student experience, and communicating this to academic and professional services staff.
Serving as President of the Edinburgh University Biomedical Society. Overseeing the planning and delivery of academic and social events, and coordinating the committee to ensure the society runs smoothly and delivers engaging opportunities for students.
Promoting early-careers opportunities, organising and supporting on-campus engagement events, and representing the AstraZeneca to students interested in biomedical science and industry careers.
Spent two weeks at the Queens' Medical Research Institute under the guidance of Dr Laura Denby and her research group. Got familiarised with molecular techniques such as qPCR, wire myography and flow cytometry while shadowing the team conduct kidney research.
Worked in Dr Volko Straub's laboratory as a research intern. Gained hands on experience in cell culture, immunocytochemistry, imaging and image analysis while undertaking a neuroscience research project.
