Result-driven professional Strategic thinker, good organizer, management team member with a specialty in project management, HR, finance and organizational development. Currently building with a large diverse team of technical specialists the foundations of a Health Data Access Body in the Netherlands, including a Health Data Catalogue, a Data Access Application Management System, testing Securing Processing Environments, and setting up a National Contact Point to connect to the European HealthData@EU infrastructure. But also helping dataholders to prepare for the EHDS regulation and working with policy makers on guidelines, technical specifications and implementation acts and national laws. Truely a challenging and rewarding program, resulting in better data availability and thereby improving research, innovation and policy making in health(care) for the benefit of European citizens. As a manager I like building teams and I have a keen eye on personal development of team members.
Health-RI, together with RIVM CBS ICTU and the Ministry of Health are preparing to establish the Health Data Access Body in the Netherlands, as a result of the European Health Data Space. Great to work together with such a motivated team to make health data at scale available for better healthcare, innovation and policy and ready for AI.
The Benelux Metabolomics Centre is a world leading scientific centre in the field of metabolomics, with many industrial contacts worldwide. Metabolomics is a platform technology used for developing personalised medicine, functional foods and improved crops. We are always open for new contacts, both scientific and business.
DTL Projects is an organization where FAIR and Personal Health Train national and international projects are being generated and executed. In addition DTL Projects hosts the Dutch node of ELIXIR and organizes courses, hot topics meetings and the annual conference of the Netherlands Bioinformatics and Systems Biology research school (BioSB).
Within the Dutch Techcentre for Life Sciences I lead the workstream on Technology Hotels and Research Infrastructures.
The Innovation platform is a think and action tank to foster Innovation in the Netherlands. The platform is chaired by Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende and member include CEO's of Philips, DSM, Corus, university professors and chairs of NGO's. The Innovation platform is supported by a small support office.
