About

As my work experience and studies may suggest, I am beyond passionate about fashion and beauty, luxury and retail in the broader sense. I pursued a bachelor's degree in fashion technology at University College Ghent (Hogent) and spent a year in Paris to complete a MSc in Luxury & Fashion Management. These studies provided me with insights and knowledge about both the technical/production aspect of clothing collections as well as the managerial side. My various student jobs and internships made me realise that the retail sector is where I would like to grow and evolve, as I've been so fascinated by all aspects of it. I had the opportunity to discover many different aspects of the fashion industry; ranging from the sales floor of big and fast-paced fashion brands like H&M and Bershka, to client services and showroom and stock operations at leading luxury houses such as Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Burberry and Zimmermann. I did have one earlier experience in beauty at The Body Shop in Paris, where I discovered retail operations. Currently I am working at L'Oréal in, what might not come as a surprise, their luxury division. As L'Oréal creates the cosmetics for brands like Yves Saint Laurent and Armani, there still is an inevitable connection to fashion. In my role as sales support I support the key account managers for April Beauty and INNO in Belgium and De Bijenkorf and independent perfumeries in The Netherlands. I am in contact with both retail stores that sell our products, as well as our internal supply, finance, marketing and customer care teams. Being part of a team that strives to create the best client experience in every way possible has been my main goal throughout all of my professional experiences, may that have been client-facing or in the back-office. As I am ever so curious, I strive to grow in my current role every day, and it certainly helps that the products we make excite me and the colleagues that I'm surrounded by inspire me.
