MBE is undergoing a strategic review with a focus to optimise client coverage, a simplified footprint in the EU and a more resilient operating model. The European headoffice will be based in Amsterdam with branches in Frankfurt, Paris, Madrid supported by a shared service center in London, providing Banking and Securities services to global clients. As CFO, I was member of the Exco which is responsible for keeping the bank safe, setting the business strategy and report regularly to the Supervisory Board on progress made. Key responsibilities included setting the financial strategy, external reporting, budgeting and forecasting, business performance reporting and analysis, Procurement, Treasury and Tax.

ING Asia is one of the large regions in ING and covers both Wholesale and Retail banking business (including the start-up of the mobile-only Bank in the Philippines). The CFO Asia is member of the Asia Executive Leadership Team which is responsible for setting the region's future strategic direction. Moreover, the CFO Asia is end-responsible for ING’s regional financial strategy, including internal and external reporting, budgeting, procurement, forecasting, treasury and capital management, tax management, and business performance reporting and analysis.
The Group Controller is part of ING’s General Management and reports directly to ING’s CFO. He is, amongst others, responsible for ING’s Finance & Control and Management Advice to the Management and Executive Boards of ING. He has a key role towards external auditors and regulators (DNB, ECB, AFM and SEC). The Group Controller is a member of the Finance Management Team, Disclosure committee, ALCO Bank, attends the Audit committee of ING Bank, Provision committee, Global pricing and Impairment committee and chairs the Operational Finance MT.
The Head of Policies & Procedures leads a team of Finance professionals to monitor (inter)national developments with regards to financial reporting and supervision for banks, translates these developments into global policies of ING Bank and advises ING Bank's Executive Board, Supervisory Board and Business lines on the business impact and application thereof. In addition, he is globally responsible for the Finance change cycle, the internal control framework over financial reporting (SOX) and the Finance support of ING’s Mergers & Acquisitions activities. He is a member of the Disclosure committee, attends occasionally the Audit committee of ING Bank, Provision committee and Global pricing and Impairment committee. He is a member of several external international Banking and Regulatory committees
A CMAAS Director is responsible for defining the long term strategy and acquisition and execution of Banking projects in the area of Regulatory change, Accounting change and Risk management by leading a team of 20 professionals. I was also the Financial Services leader of our Technical accounting department which supports the PwC audit teams with complex accounting issues and AFM questions.
PwC’s Global Accounting Consulting team has as primary objective the facilitation and promotion of consistent application and interpretation of IFRS throughout the PwC network of firms. It is a multicultural team which is leading the worldwide network of PwC IFRS technical specialists. The team focuses on thought leadership, accounting consultations, financial statement reviews for key global PwC clients and providing IFRS training to the global PwC network.
