Through a New York based animal shelter, I fostered a series of cats who were looking for homes. - At my home residence, I took in several pairs of kittens and cats at different times. I supplied comfort, warmth, toys, food, and space. I also began to socialize them with other cats, dogs, birds, and humans. - I would handle them daily to build up their comfort and trust in humans. Working with shelter animals allowed me to study and understand their behavior and needs. Each pair of cats taught me more about cat behavior. - Socializing animals to prepare them for adoption into forever homes. - Monitoring the health and behavior and acting accordingly and responsibly. - Providing daily care to foster animals including cleaning, feeding, and playing. - Maintaining a clean and safe environment.
