I'm a CS senior at NJIT graduating in December 2026, focused on building production-grade ML and AI systems. What I find most interesting about this field isn't the modeling, it's everything that surrounds it: the data pipelines, the evaluation, the deployment, the parts that decide whether a model actually creates value or quietly drifts into uselessness. I'm comfortable with: Python, PyTorch, scikit-learn, SQL, FastAPI, Docker, AWS basics, and the LLM ecosystem (vector DBs, embeddings, agentic workflows). I'm looking for full-time ML Engineer, AI Engineer, or Applied Scientist roles starting January 2027. As an F-1 student with a STEM degree, I'm eligible for 36 months of work authorization (12 months OPT + 24 months STEM extension) which means no H-1B lottery pressure until 2030.
