About

I believe everybody matters. When we embrace differences, we will see talents. If every talent can thrive equally a fair and inclusive society can sprout in which everybody can contribute in his or her own unique way. My high sense of service defines me. 10 years in the Airforce, 9 years Service & Friendship with Ladies' Circle Venlo, and establishing community initiative 'Stichting Straelend Schoon'. Even my own company, Embrosa, strives to strengthen communities and Help High Streets Thrive, of course, next to making an honest living. We offer marketing support to local independent shops so they get the attention we feel they deserve and need to survive. To achieve this, we focus on the brands the shops sell. They own the content and marketing power the local shops so badly need. Using our B2B2C Marketing Solution, brand managers and trade marketers can run hyper-local targeted ad campaigns around hundreds of brick-and-mortar stores, in different countries, without the help of a specialized marketing agency. Our software solution publishes the brand campaign in the right language, on the right marketing channels, personalized and on behalf of the participating local shop owners. My talent? Starting things and Motivating people. My energy is contagious. But don't ask me to put the dots on the i. Continuous refinement is not for me. I like conceptual thinking and big improvements. Besides founding Embrosa, I love modern art, motorcycles, oldtimers, and reading books. I make myself go for a run and you could say I am a feminist. Do you (still) fancy a cup of coffee? Mail me at [email protected] or call me at +31-(0)6-20908995.

Local shops and organizations are the beating heart of their community. They deserve the same marketing power as the big chains. That's why Rogier and I built Embrosa in 2016. Embrosa's Marketing Control Tower™ lets (inter)national brands run personalized marketing campaigns for hundreds of local resellers simultaneously, in the right language, on the right channels, without a specialized agency. The local shop owner gets visibility without the marketing workload, and everything is organized and paid for by their brands. The brands gets consistent, localized execution at scale. We work with international (franchise) brands in retail, optics, food, and more across Europe. As CEO, my job is simple: stimulate my immensely talented team to keep building something brands and local shops can't do without.

  • Eigenaar at MooiLogisch
    Jan 2012 - Dec 2016 · 5 yrs

MooiLogisch (a wordplay combining beautifully and logical in Dutch) was the forerunner of Embrosa. MooiLogisch, a marketing agency with a team of young marketing professionals, created customized, made-to-measure, content for local (SME) entrepreneurs. Based on the idea that 'Marketing should be affordable and understandable for every entrepreneur', MooiLogisch created blogs, social media messages, newsletters and whitepapers for Small and Medium Sized Enterprizes in The Netherlands.

  • Owner at Rebels & Rousers

What differentiates a fool from a philosopher? Both possess the power to create in one’s mind, new sensations that aren’t perceived yet. What distinguishes an idiot from an inventor? They both passionately create ideas that could shape our future, bringing forth inventions that are ahead of our time. With TEDxRoermond we give the floor to dreamers, believers, fools, inspiring, and courageous, successful souls. By giving even the smallest idea a stage to share that mind-blowing idea, we contribute to the co-creation of a better world. As Thomas Friedman pointed out in his book ‘Hot, Flat and Crowded’ we should invent 1,000 ideas in 1,000 garages and at least one of the projects should succeed.
