About

Optometrist -->Neurologist --> Neuro-Ophthalmologist. Clinical expert in optometry and neuro-ophthalmology | Educator | Neuro-Ophthalmologist | Clinician | Communicator | AI-integrated Thinker| Expert Consultant I am a dual-trained neuro-ophthalmologist and neurologist with a foundation in optometry, and I’ve spent more than two decades caring for patients with some of the most complex visual and neurological conditions. My work sits at the intersection of medicine, communication, and clarity: whether I’m teaching residents, reviewing a challenging case, advising on evolving technologies, or working with patients whose stories require time and careful listening. I’ve learned that expertise matters, but how we communicate that expertise matters even more. I teach because I believe clarity is a form of compassion. I practice because every patient deserves to feel seen. And I consult because complex problems deserve nuanced thinking and a calm, analytical mind. My professional interests include: • Neuro-ophthalmic diagnosis and complex visual pathway disorders • Optic neuropathies, IIH, visual field interpretation, functional vision loss • Interdisciplinary communication — translating complexity into clarity • Ethical, thoughtful integration of AI into clinical practice and education • Medical-legal case review, expert consulting, and healthcare advisory work • International education and capacity building Across all roles as clinician, educator, consultant, mentor my motivation is simple: to bring clarity where there is confusion, compassion where there is fear, and precision where it truly matters.
