Did it again. I switched careers in 2025. I am now teaching the next generation of listeners, speakers, readers and writers of the English language. As it is still a true story, I shall just leave my previous writeup below:- I'm glad I made the career switch in 2003. While my time as a Police Intelligence Analyst was fruitful, it wasn't phenomenal. My sense of imagination and flair for written expression urged me to offer my ideas in a creative career that could spark others' minds to explore. It wasn’t a cop-out (oh look, a pun!) but a deliberate move towards being the best version of myself. Four laptops and thousands of caffeine fixes later, I’m still at it, with the addition of a lightweight tablet, cloud accounts, and herbal teas. After leaving agency life and becoming a freelancer, I've ideated on scenic mid-morning bus rides, fulfilled urgent requests on-the-go texting with my smartphone, and crafted campaign proposals while cat-sitting. I don't need to be office-bound to be productive. Since I embarked on the path of a professional wordsmith, I have enjoyed creating inspiration with the alphabet. Some flow seamlessly, others take more perseverance. Clients call them campaigns, headlines, taglines, introductions, body copy, call to action, social media content, hashtags, blogs, feature articles, clickbait, and other technical labels. It’s probably for billing purposes. I call them philosophies, perspectives, and possibilities.
