I lead corporate sustainability, ESG governance and climate transition strategy at SOCAR Türkiye — one of the country's largest integrated industrial groups, operating across refining, petrochemicals, natural gas, trading, logistics and infrastructure. What shapes my approach is a career built across three distinct layers: field-level operational leadership, strategic advisory at the top of the consulting pyramid, and now enterprise-level corporate governance. I have held P&L responsibility, built and led business divisions, served as Acting General Manager in an ENEL joint venture, and delivered strategy and ESG engagements across Türkiye, Germany, Italy, Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania, Turkic Republics and EU27+ markets — before stepping into a corporate director role at one of Türkiye's most complex industrial groups. This means I engage sustainability and strategy from real operational experience, not only from frameworks and methodologies. My current focus areas include ESG governance and operating model design, integrated reporting aligned with TSRS and IFRS S1/S2, decarbonization roadmap development, climate policy and regulatory readiness (ETS, CBAM), ESG ratings management and sustainable finance readiness. I also contribute to thought leadership and internal capability building — having co-authored publications on energy transition, green hydrogen, battery storage systems and the Turkish electricity market, and serving as a contributing expert to leading academic and research institutions on energy and climate topics. I believe the energy transition is not a reporting exercise. It is a fundamental business transformation — and getting it right requires people who understand both the strategy and the operations behind it.
