As co-Grassroots Manager for Caledon Soccer Club / Caledon United FC, I am responsible for the all soccer programs (houseleague, technical training, academies) for ages U3 through U12. I am also responsible for hiring and overseeing a staff of technical coaches who will utilize the curriculum and individual session plans I create to train young players. Additionally, I support our Club's competitive (development) teams aged U8 through U12, including by helping to create new teams.
After many years spent as a player and volunteer coach for the Caledon Soccer Club, I was hired to the technical staff as a mentor coach. I currently coach the 2011/2012 girls development team, which I helped create and recruit for during Spring 2019. I previously spent 1.5 years with another girls development team, training them to be a successful competitive team. In this role, I also work with houseleague teams aged U6 to U10 to enhance young players' skill and enjoyment in soccer. During this process, I collaborate with other mentor coaches to assist volunteer coaches in the youth program in learning new soccer drills and developing their own coaching abilities.
In the role of Human Resources Coordinator, I support Revlon Canada Inc.'s three international divisions: Revlon Consumer, Revlon Professional, and Elizabeth Arden. My role includes working with the unionized distribution center on a daily basis. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, my duties include: - benefits administration, billing, and remittance - pension administration - claim management for WSIB as well as short- and long-term disability leaves - management of grievances and related investigations, including supporting in stage 3 grievance meetings with union National Representatives - end-to-end recruitment and selection, with the use of external recruiters and LinkedIn, including drafting contracts, presenting offers, and onboarding new employees - creation of employment letters and contracts - correspondence with third party vendors for employee training and event planning - payroll support and administration for all employee changes - ad hoc reporting and project coordination for leadership team members Key projects include: - member of the negotiation team for the Collective Bargaining Agreement between Revlon Canada and the Unifor local - assisted with selection of and transition to a new record keeper for the group pension plans
In January 2018, I was promoted within the TG Appliance Group warehouse. My new duties included receiving and shipping inventory using the company scanners and barcode system, maintaining small appliances department, and filling customer pick-up orders. I also completed the forklift certification training, and hold a license to operate a lift truck. Following the completion of this training, the use of a clamp truck to move appliances was incorporated into my job duties. Prior to 2018, I assembled barbecues and customized various appliances to meet customer requests. I also filled a leadership role within the department by supervising and directing co-workers, and by training new employees At TG Appliance Group, I participated in the Joint Health and Safety Committee in order to provide the perspective of a warehouse worker; also took meeting minutes.
