In my Public Relations class we were given the opportunity to work with non profits in the Siouxland area. I worked with CSADV (The Council on Sexual Assualt and Domestic Violence) now Safe Place Main Responsibilities -
- Was the warm welcoming face at the gallery on campus, held a great amount of knowledge on the pieces on rotating and permanent displays to be able to answer guests' questions. - Would greet and help between 2 - 60 guests per shift. - Upheld confidentiality clauses and security practices to keep high profile pieces and artists safe.
- Helped teach students how to properly matt and frame artwork for shows in Framing and Matting Workshops hosted multiple times a year - Delivered artwork around the campus and hung the pieces using techniques and placement to provide the best viewing experience and protect the longevity of the artwork - Provided service to facility as needed (setting up still lives for drawing classes, preparing supplies for future classes or workshops, distribute posters and promotional materials for upcoming events, and more)
