    In this job, I get the privilege of working with young kids. Every day, I am responsible for 10- 12 children. As someone who grew up going to summer camp, I always looked up to my camp counselors. Now I am older and I am able to be a role model to the kids that go to my camp. Through this job, I have also learned skills of crisis management, leadership, and adaptability. It has also taught me the importance of community in the workplace, as operations run much smoother when all of the employees are able to collaborate successfully.

      After a couple years of working at Rustico, I jumped at the opportunity to learn new skills and started to bus and host for the restaurant portion of the company. Hosting taught me skills of organization, team work, and problem solving. It also deepened my customer service skills with a different demographic. Bussing strengthened my skills in multitasking along with the importance business presentation. I am so grateful that this job was my first, as I have taken many lifelong skills with me.

      I started this job at 15, as I was eager to make my own money. I worked strictly in take out for my first couple of years. I learned how to work with customers, on the phone and in person. I also learned how to work with food and food equipment in an efficient and safe manor. I excelled at using the cash register, adapting to a new system when we had switched, as I am very good at understanding electronics.
