My areas of research include racial disparities in the child welfare and foster care systems, defining legislation for Child Advocacy Centers, and public finance and budgeting with respect to the Department of Children and Families.

    I served the youth on the south and west sides of Chicago who are at-risk of falling off track to graduate. Through intensive structured interventions (behavioral, attendance, and academic)students improve their chances to get a high school diploma and attend college. Through tutor and mentoring I assisted with the improvement of my students.
