I am a highly skilled physician-scientist and leader in clinical development with almost 20 years of experience at major biopharmaceutical firms. I have a proven track record in delivering global clinical drug development projects across diverse therapeutic areas, platforms, and development phases, and in building and guiding strong high-performing cross-functional global teams through significant internal governance milestones and interactions with global Health Authorities. I am currently VP, Clinical Development at Akero Therapeutics, where I am overseeing the clinical conduct and associated pharmacovigilance activities of three large Phase 3 clinical studies aiming to assess the safety and efficacy of efruxifermin in MASH. Now living in Philadelphia, USA, I am a graduate of the University of Cambridge, UK where I completed the MB PhD programme in 2003, and am a Fellow of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine of the Royal College of Physicians (London, UK).
