• Lead the end-to-end credit risk and recovery strategy across ShopUp’s MSME lending and supply chain finance operations. • Design and implement a data-driven credit framework using behavioral, transactional, and alternative data to strengthen early delinquency prediction. • Establish preventive credit controls — screening, limit management, and dynamic risk scoring — to minimize portfolio-at-risk. • Drive recovery and resolution operations, optimizing workflows and deploying tailored strategies (soft collection, restructuring, legal action). • Partner cross-functionally with product, finance, and data teams to align credit policy with business growth and scalable risk governance. • Build and mentor a multidisciplinary risk and recovery team, integrating credit analysts, data specialists, and field officers. • Introduce early warning systems (EWS) leveraging analytics, behavioral trends, and geospatial insights to proactively flag defaults. • Lead the digital transformation of recovery through CRM automation and geotagged field operations to reduce intervention time. • Develop portfolio stress-testing models and scenario-based simulations to guide strategic decisions and ensure portfolio resilience. • Strengthen risk governance and accountability through policy formulation, committee engagement, and board-level performance reviews.
- Develop and implement comprehensive credit management strategies to minimize credit risks and ensure timely debt collection. - Conduct thorough credit assessments to evaluate the creditworthiness and financial standing of customers. - Establish and enforce credit control policies, including credit limits, terms, and conditions. - Monitor accounts receivable, proactively identifying delinquent accounts and initiating appropriate collection actions. - Negotiate payment plans or settlement agreements with customers to facilitate debt recovery. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, finance, and legal, to resolve disputes and address customer payment issues. - Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and credit performance data to identify areas for improvement and mitigate credit risks. - Provide training and guidance to team members on credit management practices, debt collection techniques, and compliance.
