Had several roles at Digital Equipment Portugal, being responsible for one of the business areas of the Service Administration, Applicant Development and Integration, since January of 1998. This area covers all the projects that, partially or totally, incorporate specific software development that hold added value in diverse environments including internet/intranet, Datawarehouse, etc..
Started my career at DEC. While project manager, the most siginficant projects I was responsible for were in entities like Telepac, BNU, Caixa Geral de Depósitos, TLP, IEFP, SEF, DGV and DGSP. The last few are characterized, in a functional perspective, by a high level of interaction with the citizen, with strong implications of legal and financial matter, and by high reliability and availability requirements. In a technological perspective, these constitute a heterogeneous reality which includes in-house development, ERP systems, housing/hosting systems and use of internal and external resources with different outsourcing contracts.
