Travel RN, specializing in Oncology
Outpatient Infusion Clinic. Coordinated with MD, MA, Lab tech, front office, and research department to assess needs and manage care of patients receiving chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, supportive care drugs (such as Iron, Hormone suppressants, electrolyte replacements, pain medications), and research drugs. Advocated and led discussions to increase effective communication and simplify processes between departments, decreasing staff burden. Educated and facilitated clinical development of New Hires in the main clinic and Drug Development Unit. Administered Phase 1 Clinical Trial and First in Human drugs, assessing for complications and reactions, while coordinating with MD, NP, and RSN. Administered Lymphodepleting Chemotherapy to prep study patients for HSCT and CAR-t therapy studies.
Heme/Onc BMT Unit. Coordinated care of immunocompromised patients pre, during and post transplant using the Care Team Model. Performed Pre-transplant chemotherapy, Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplants, and CAR-t therapy. Anticipated, assessed for, and managed treatment of complications. Administered Phase 1 Clinical Trial drugs according to protocol, assessing toxicities, reactions, and CRS. Cross-Trained to Oncology ICU.
