I’m an engineer who never stopped thinking like one, even after I fell in love with product. After almost 8 years at Wix, I’ve learned that the best products get built when the people designing them understand the systems underneath, and the people building those systems never lose sight of the user. That gap between product thinking and engineering reality is where I live. It’s what I find fascinating, and it’s what I try to close every day with my team. At Wix, I lead product and engineering for a platform that powers over 250 million websites worldwide. Most of those websites belong to small business owners; people running bakeries, photography studios, law firms, fitness classes. Real people trying to make a living. That context never leaves the room when we’re making roadmap decisions. It keeps things honest. Lately, I’ve been spending a lot of time thinking about what AI actually means for small businesses, not the hype version, but the practical, unglamorous, genuinely useful version. The kind that saves a business owner an hour on a Tuesday. That’s the problem space that gets me out of bed.
