I am currently the Lab Manager for the Bollyky Lab in the Division of Infectious Diseases at the Stanford School of Medicine, where I help support research on bacteriophages, antimicrobial resistance, and the development of phage-based therapies for chronic infections. I earned my B.S. in Biology with Departmental Honors from the University of Washington, where I maintained a 3.9 GPA and conducted independent research in the Kerr Lab. Under the mentorship of Dr. Olivia Kosterlitz and Dr. Benjamin Kerr, I investigated plasmid-mediated antibiotic resistance, focusing on conjugation dynamics and trade-off–breaking mutations. Beyond the lab, I am also a freelance artist, creating commissioned works and integrating creativity into science communication and outreach. I value curiosity, collaboration, and the ability to merge analytical and creative thinking in both research and life. Looking ahead, I am excited to continue growing as a researcher, with long-term goals of pursuing a PhD and a career in biotechnology focused on tackling infectious disease challenges.
As Lab Manager at the Bollyky Lab, I support and conduct research on bacteriophages, antimicrobial resistance, and phage-based therapies. My role combines hands-on experimentation with lab operations, including procurement and mentoring new lab members. The Bollyky Lab investigates how phages influence bacterial pathogenesis, particularly their roles in biofilm structure and antimicrobial resistance, and develops innovative phage delivery platforms and personalized phage-antibiotic treatments for chronic infections such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa in wounds and cystic fibrosis.
• Designed and implemented a science education program for 3 cohorts of underprivileged 8th-10th grade girls in India, focusing on evolutionary and molecular biology concepts • Conducted virtual teaching sessions adapting complex scientific material into accessible content, incorporating real-world applications to inspire future interest in STEM fields • Collaborated with the teaching team to identify topics requiring further emphasis and incorporated student feedback to tailor lessons to their interests and needs

• Conducting research at the Kerr Lab under the mentorship of Dr. Olivia Kosterlitz to study multidrug resistance by estimating conjugation rates in enteric bacteria; plan to be 2nd author in two publications. • Recipient of the Population Health Award, selected as one of 27 honorees out of over 200 applicants for outstanding research with public health relevance • Winner of the John & Dorothy Franco Award, recognizing the best scientific research paper submitted by an undergraduate in the Department of Biology; submitted my research paper as part of a competitive selection process where only one recipient is chosen annually • Recipient of the Amalia & Craig Magaret Award, given annually to a UW Biology undergraduate for creativity, curiosity, and critical thinking in research; awarded funding for research expenses and conferences. • Developing expertise in microbiology (cell culturing, DNA extraction, BAC miniprep plasmid isolation kits), molecular techniques (PCR, gel electrophoresis), and data analysis (NGS nanopore sequencing, Sanger sequencing) • Organizing and presenting findings weekly both in oral and written formats to graduate students, post-docs, and PI; showcased research via a poster to 30+ UW researchers and professors at the Undergraduate Research Symposium
