Experience

  • Partner - Innovation Labs Director at SustainableStartup&Co
    Aug 2023 - Present · 2 yrs 11 mos

At Sustainable Startup & Co, we’re a diverse team driven by a shared purpose: helping organizations transition to sustainability through innovative and practical solutions. Guided by the Sustainable Development Goals, we focus on creating lasting social, economic, and environmental impact. Over the years, we’ve trained and inspired teams like the Agenda 2030 Network at the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provincial Councils (FEMP) to scale their impact, eventually winning the CNIS Public Innovation Award. Purpose and an exponential mindset is at the beginning of the journey. We then developed the UN-recognized KiteLab open innovation methodology for tackling complex challenges, and implemented it in eight public administration projects with over 700 participants, where more than 58 sub challenges were defined and analyzed and over 592 solutions proposed. Our labs are the new standard of participation where multiple stakeholders can solve challenges together. Our External Technical Office helps our clients secure grants and other means of funding and craft strategic plans to turn ideas into reality. We empower organisations to get access to the resources that they need to have the impact that they dream to have. We designed and manage an impact startup accelerator in the south of Madrid: Mieb. Mieb draws from our experience as a community of entrepreneurs, with a whole ecosystem of startups around us. We believe in the power of startups to turn ideas into reality to address societal needs. We are also members of the Spanish consortium of the Enabling City Transformation Programme, an initiative funded by the European Union under the framework of the Mission for Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities. We will support our partner cities with innovation labs, communication and exponential methodologies. We achieve all of this through an organic governance model based on agile decentralised work, mutual care and connection.

  • Director of Operations for Europe, Diversity Atlas at Cultural Infusion
    Sep 2019 - Jan 2022 · 2 yrs 5 mos

According to the United Nations, three-quarters of the world’s major conflicts have a cultural dimension. Bridging the gap between cultures has become urgent and necessary for peace, stability and development. We will only be able to face challenges such as climate change together when we are able to coexist in harmony. Diversity Atlas provides the nuances and details that organizations need to understand the multiple dimensions of diversity and how they apply in their particular setting so that they can foster a sense of community and social cohesion.
