A Supply Chain professional with more than 20 years of international experience in Latin America, Europe, Asia and Middle East. Additional experience in Renewable Energy and Sustainability as a lecturer in tertiary education. Strong knowledge and practical experience of Supply Chain. Leveraging both backgrounds I search for efficiencies, whether doing more with the same resources or doing the same with less resources. By optimizing the supply chain, I drive reduction in spend and resources, achieving sustainability and benefits at the same time.
• Leading a diverse team of 13 across Latam, Africa, Southeast Asia, and Australia in global logistics. • Managing an annual ocean freight budget of approximately USD 250 million. • Implementing AI tools to enhance shipping statistics and analysis. • Achieved savings exceeding USD 15 million in FY 2024 through improved efficiency.
• Chartering of MPP and Handysize vessels for bulk and break-bulk Ammonium Nitrate (~700,000mt/year) and explosives in container, supporting the entire worldwide network of the company. • Proposal and implementation of a Time Charter vessel for cyanide containers due to failure on liners performance since mid-2021. • Development of logistic solutions needed for the ammonium nitrate supply due to interruption by Russian ban and crisis in Ukraine. Shortage to customers was avoided at a reasonable cost, allowing to the company to also achieve more market share. • Training of new team members into chartering and Global Logistics • Development of new strategies and procedures to adapt the company to the current freight and market environment
- Chartering and operation of vessels for Bulk, Break Bulk and container cargoes, supporting supply-chain functions for port to port distribution of mining explosives and chemicals in the Americas, Europe and Africa. - Project lead for several cost saving initiatives such as negotiating CoA for the Russia/LATAM - Africa Ammonium Nitrate trades, containers for Class 1 cargo, port development, etc. - Charter Party contracts, vessel vetting, laytime and freight rates calculations as part of daily job. - Negotiations with ship brokers and vessel owners for Voyage and Time Charter vessels. • Managing a team of four (two charterers and two post fixture) since May 2019 • From Logistics perspective, I have participated in the transition and implementation of Hana 4S system (SAP) during 2020.
