About

Biomedicine and Bioforensics officer interested in infection biology, R3 organisms, their microbial evolution, host-pathogen interactions and environmental reservoirs. Following the One-Health concept, I focus on zoonotic diseases with greater public health impact as well as biodefense relevant organism (Bacillus/Yersinia/Burkholderia/..). Genetics, transmission, disease progression and environmental factors have to be understood to tackle these threats. When off-work, I crave a daily physical routine, ranging from Luta Livre, MMA ,and various endurance sports. A sore muscle, is a happy one.
