Working on working capital and documentary trade deal origination & structuring in DACH
- Worked on divisional strategy, digital strategy, partnerships (wealthtechs & fintechs) and business development
- Worked on strategy projects with a growth / investment focus covering the corporate bank and private bank. Within these projects I carried out complex analyses that enabled us to reach appropriate conclusions, calculated business cases that facilitated the decision making, engaged in coordination tasks that streamlined processes, engaged in conceptual tasks to define strategies, carried out research that enabled us to derive the right conclusions, created senior management & board presentations to secure support for our projects and contributed to the creation of pitch materials that led to successful pitches that were important for the banks strategy - Milestones include leading a work stream concerning the definition and development of a roadmap of innovative features for the Deutsche Bank Miles and More Credit Card as well as responsibility for the finance work stream & business case, the development of the fintech investment / partnership strategy for the cash management division, the development of a target operating model for the new B2B2C issuing division in the corporate bank, winning the Miles and More co-brand issuing RfP and supporting the contract negotiations, as well as the definition of new sales advisor roles in the private bank
- Worked on project finance, acquisition finance and refinancing deals. I engaged in screening commercial/ financial due diligence material, performed market analyses, wrote the company/ market/ key terms parts of the credit pack that contributed to the approval from the relevant internal committees. Additionally, I worked as a slide master on the lenders presentation for a syndication that led to a successful pitch to other banks. Further, I executed research on comparables that supported the term sheet discussions and enabled ING to set the targeted DSCR’s - Participation in management presentations & analysis and evaluation of due diligence materials - Researched the radiotherapy sector & assessed its commercial attractiveness to create a 95 slides study - Researched the media sector, analyzed ING’s performance & created the global media presentation
- Collection and analysis of relevant customer and industry data that resulted in the generation of business ideas, and analysis of due diligence information for projects including a research focus on sustainability ambitions (e.g. ESG) of clients that enabled pitching sustainable finance solutions - Worked on the pitching materials as a deal team member of TeamViewer AG’s first sustainable €300m SSD resulting in the successful placement of the SSD
