Since my youth I have been fascinated by programming, a passion that I have successfully expressed in my career as a Technical Artist & Unreal Engine Developer. In over 7 years of self-employment, I have realised a wide range of projects, from creative stage visualisations to groundbreaking virtual and augmented reality applications. With a profound knowledge of various software and process steps, I have planned, supervised and implemented Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality and XR projects for well-known companies. My involvement in challenging projects ranges from the development of VR learning environments for training courses to the configuration of AR product visualisations for the automotive industry. I am particularly proud of the successful realisation of my vision, which was awarded the EXIST Excellence Scholarship (self-developed AR platform, startup founder, product owner), as well as the opportunity to develop and test a virtual production for a Germany-wide stage show before its technological and global use. However, my work as a technical artist is not limited to the realisation of projects. As a staunch advocate of the Unreal Engine, I have supported and assisted companies in the transition from conventional CG pipelines to real-time graphics. This role as a technical consultant has not only challenged me, but also inspired me to constantly expand my skills. My journey as a freelancer in the world of real-time graphics has enriched me both professionally and personally. Every day I look forward to developing innovative solutions that push the boundaries of reality while meeting the needs of my clients. Development of Unreal Engine projects around digital twins with a strong focus on user interaction in combination with AI.
Senior Unreal Engine Developer with 7 years' experience in Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, Virtual Production, and Visual Effects. I have worked for multiple companies, bringing various VR and AR concepts to life. My projects range from developing educational and adult training concepts. Creating Unreal Engine Tools to assist artists in environment design. Developing AR apps that make learning more exciting and interactive in schools with gamification concepts. Development of a virtual production pipeline for a stage performance on a Germany tour. Various AR and VR applications for cultural purposes, design presentations, product visualisations, interactive product configurators, company presentations and educational purposes. I wholeheartedly worked on all projects from the conceptual stage to project management until final deployment and/or presentation.
Development of BYFORM, a platform designed specifically for small and medium-sized enterprises to showcase and inform customers about products through Augmented Reality. The platform comprises a web login and an Augmented Reality app for Android and iOS devices. Additionally, we developed workflows for photogrammetry of product models, enabling customizable product configurations. EXIST involved a protracted planning phase, crafting a comprehensive business plan and overseeing the establishment of a startup based on the developed product prototype.
