Experience

  • Portfolio Manager at Jackson Swiss Partners
    Sep 2025 - Present · 11 mos

  • Project Intern at Pelican Capital
    May 2024 - Jun 2024 · 2 mos

My time at Pelican Capital was the first work experience I had done that was finance centric (Private Equity) and this was most informative for me. While I can't go into specifics, my time there was made up of attending meetings (both at the offices and off-site) and researching for companies to invest in based on projected success.

  • Real Estate Intern at JLL
    Jun 2022 - Jul 2022 · 2 mos

I spent just under a month shadowing an associate at JLL (Bank office location) for the corporate side. In my time there I attended meetings, attended showings and assisted with locating potential sites for purchase. My key takeaways were really understanding how to operate Microsoft Excel in a business manner, rather than the simplicity that was required at school. It was also crucial to my learning experience to witness sales and potential sales taking place as this has massively improved my communication and sales skills.

  • Social Media Designer/ video editor at RugbyPass
    Jan 2021 - May 2022 · 1 yr 5 mos

While working part time for Rugby Pass my main role was editing and uploading highlights of MLS soccer games to the company's equivalent of youtube as at the time MLR was a product that they were really trying to push. Also, during the 2021 British Lions Rugby series I took on a more prominent role recording and uploading videos to TikTok to help grow the brand.

  • Work experience at Travers Smith
    Jun 2019 - Jul 2019 · 2 mos

While relatively brief, during my time at Travers Smith doing work experience I was able to witness to a number of crucial skills that improved my knowledge of business. This was my very first work experience so everything was extremely alien to me at the time but through the help of the associates I was following and my own intuition I was able to improve a few of my skillsets. While law is not a career path I am following, spending time at a law firm helped me understand the values of hard work. My main role was assisting with simple tasks, such as helping with Excel sheets.
