Driven to democratize the sharing economy! 🌍 During my semester abroad in Istanbul, I had an amazing group of colleagues working with me on a business plan about a Peer-To-Peer Sharing Marketplace. I wanted to: - create a more sustainable world - enable people to share unused items - make sharing the new owning But the journey had its own twists and turns: - sleepless nights building the strategy - none of the group members wanted to start a company with me - catching trust issues in the sharing economy And that's where I ended up: coming back to Germany with a business plan and no team. I was lost. I started questioning the purpose of my life. Shit. It still gives me goosebumps today. So I talked about it.... And got to know Johann & Kevin - soon to be my co-founders. We launched a public sharing-marketplace on www.fainin.com. And here's where we stand today - after years of dedication and innovation: 20,000+ users 1.000+ rental shops Partnerships with multiple universities But yet being profitable. So I started questioning everything. "What if fainin doesn't make the impact I envisioned?" Those doubts still resonate with me today. I faced my own moments of uncertainty. But then a simple yet powerful idea anchored me: "WHAT CAN ONE PERSON DO?!" Thought by billions of people while the countdown is running. It became crystal clear: I want to be a catalyst for change. I want to tackle the big challenges of our time. And the most crucial realization: If I can't drive change in existing systems, I'll build new ones - but leverage existing communities. This moment of clarity was the push I needed to fully commit to my mission. And we started establishing sharing communities in companies. And the idea of 2SHARE evolved. Today, I understand that I was chasing a vision. Sustainability. Community. Innovation. Today, I realize that I embody something more. Impact. Connection. Boldness. Not only a Bachelor- or Masterthesis?!
