I build governance, compliance and sustainability structures as Head of Compliance & Sustainability at STIWA Group. My work sits at the intersection of four fields that are usually handled separately: compliance & risk, sustainability, AI workflows, and organizational change. Practically meaning the coordination of sustainability across business units, leading the decarbonization roadmap, and building a three-lines-of-defense GRC framework. Since early 2026 I’ve been adding AI-agents into my compliance and risk workflows. Background: trained mechatronics technician, outdoor educator, business psychologist. I am currently finishing my MSc in Sustainability Technologies & Management specializing in future management (scenario analysis, road mapping,...) That mix is why I tend to think in systems rather than silos. I care about externalised costs, clear responsibility, and businesses that stay viable under uncertainty. Happy to exchange with other heads of sustainability, compliance and risk, in the DACH mid-market.
Extension of the Head of Sustainability mandate with group-wide responsibility for compliance. The role brings ESG and other regulatory topics into one coherent governance structure and integrates AI-assisted workflows into day-to-day risk and compliance work. Current focus areas: - Regulatory and compliance risk framework (group-wide) - Three Lines of Defense governance model - Climate and transition risk integration into enterprise risk management - Code of Conduct and supplier due diligence framework - Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi): in preparation, submission planned for 2027 - EcoVadis rating: in preparation, submission planned for early 2027 - AI-agent workflows for compliance and risk analysis (in production since early 2026)
Responsibility for STIWA Group's sustainability strategy and the foundational reporting and governance structure. Cross-functional coordination across business units, structured around topic-specific project teams. Built up and delivered: - Double materiality assessment (ESRS-compliant), completed 2024 - CSR management structure and governance across the business units - Initial GHG inventory covering Scope 1, Scope 2 and material Scope 3 categories - Groundwork for the decarbonisation roadmap - Executive briefings and decision papers for the management board - Interface between operating units, holding and executive management
Part-time role in corporate development, combining quality management and organisational development. Within the Quality function, I was the point person for the group's international sites in Germany and the United States across both topics. Responsibilities: - Strategy workshops and status reviews with operating units - Business process optimization and harmonization across sites - Risk analyses at operational and strategic level - Management review preparation and execution
