Currently, I am working as a Finance Controller - Expatriate at the Joint Venture GBO-Suns Ltd., where I direct all corporate finance activities, including monthly/quarterly/annually financial statement preparation in accordance with IFRS and PRC GAAP and forecasting as well as budget development and administration. I develop adequate internal controls and continuously monitor their proper implementation to ensure compliance with corporate policies and guidelines. I oversee general accounting functions, including AR, account reconciliation and cash management. I administer financial management systems and implementation of SAP R/3 as well as perform regular stock takes. I develop and lead accounting and financial management team of one employee to achieve established objectives. Following are the highlights of the value I brought to the Joint Venture GBO-Suns Ltd.: ☛ Successfully led smooth transition of an originally Chinese family owned business to an international GBO sales subsidiary with Greiner Holding corporate standards, while establishing from scratch a Controlling department with two headcounts. ☛ Contributed in increasing profitability within first two years by performing in-depth analysis of sales, margins, expenses and reporting the results to Executive Management to support business decision making. ☛ Enhanced the accuracy and integrity of financial statements by initiating the application of provisions against bad debts as well as creating stock adjustments of inventory and slow moving materials against assessing net realizable value.
While working as a Plant Project Controlling – Intern & Graduand at BMW Brilliance Automotive Ltd., I researched, reviewed and analyzed the effectiveness and efficiency of existing reporting procedures and systems of controlling department and made recommendations for enhancing these processes and systems.
